ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Yaëlle. I'm a filmmaker, a writer, and a storyteller. Telling stories is what I love most in the world, whether it is through films, photographs, or stories. I'm also obsessed with mystery. I like to imagine that there's mystery all around me and I try to include it in everything that I create. You will notice, once you start reading my stories, that there are always mysterious elements in there.

I try to make my stories as visual as possible because I love movies, and I would love to give my readers the ability to visually imagine these stories. You'll also notice that there's a photograph connected to each story. I've taken all these photos and every time I try to choose a photo that captures the feelings and themes of each story.

Some of these stories don't have an ending. Endings are not always my favorite thing to write, and I like to leave some of my work open-ended so that readers can imagine their own endings. If you feel like writing an ending and sharing it, don't hesitate to leave a comment on the blog posts!

I started writing these stories at a time when I felt sort of stuck. I didn't have the means to direct the movies I wanted to make, so in the meantime, I decided to write short stories. This really helped me to get back into my creativity and to discover my voice as an artist. I'm excited to share them with you now!
